Eligibility:

Candidates who have completed 18 years of age on 1st July of the academic year are eligible for admission to B.A/B.Com. three years degree course (No pre-qualification is required) Students need not appear for the entrance test. First year student will automatically proceed to the second year and second year student to the final year whether they pass the exam or not. The same rule is applicable to the post graduate students also. The examination will be held on April/May every year.

B.Com. DEGREE PROGRAMME

Candidates for B.Com. must study 10 commerce subjects (10 papers): Papers I & II, of 100 marks each in the first year; Papers III, IV, V & VI, of 100 marks each in the second year; Papers VII, VIII, IX & X, of 100 marks each in the third (final) year, as shown below:

GROUP IV: Application Oriented Courses
Each student of B.A./B.Com, will have to study one Application Oriented Courses (AOC)
Any one of the following :
a) Consumer Studies
b) Manceding
c) Export Procedure and Documents
d) Office Management
Credit System
The University foillows the ' Credit System ' for its undergraduate programmes. Each credit is of 30 hours of study comprising all learning activities. Thus, a four credit course involves 120 study hours, a six credit course involves 180 study hours and so on. This helps the students to understand the academic efforts he/she has to put in to successfully complete the course. Completion of B.A. Programme requires successfully clearing 96 credits. Each student of BA Degree Programme shall select

two Languages and three Optional Subjects in addition to other Foundation Courses and Application Oriented Courses. The students are expected to complete both the assignments and the term end examination of each course in the programme.
